The driver of the automobile involved in the collision on Country Fair Drive at the Intersection of I-72 has been arrested.
JUVIOUNS M. THOMAS, a 44 year-old woman, was arrested for obstructing justice, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment.
On April 7, 2010, police were dispatched to the area at approximately 12:54 p.m. to investigate an accident that occurred between a semi-truck and a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier. Upon arrival, officers received information that the truck was struck by the automobile while the automobile attempted to pass the truck on the right side. The truck, traveling southbound on Country Fair Drive, was making a right-hand turn into a private drive when the automobile collided with the truck on the passenger side.
