City Staff and Councilmember Dodds Present on the John Street Watershed Collaboration

On September 23, 2010, City Councilmember Marci Dodds was joined by Alex Nagy, Civil Engineer II, and Roland White, City Engineer, members of the John Street Watershed Steering Committee and University faculty, staff and students to share their experiences over the last two years collaborating to address the stormwater issues in the watershed. The presentation was held at the American Planning Association – Illinois Chapter’s annual conference in Normal, Illinois, and was attended by urban planners from around the state.

On the same day, Roland White and Chris Sokolowski, Civil Engineer III, also participated in a separate session at the conference. Roland shared information on modern roundabouts, and Chris presented on the High-intensity Activated crossWalK (HAWK) signal, which has been in place along Bradley Avenue near the Development Services Center and Kraft Corporation since December 2009.
