Neighborhood Services Department (NSD) will work with the Housing Authority for an upcoming planning grant for Joann Dorsey and the surrounding neighborhood. This grant will include information/cooperation from various departments, including NSD (all three divisions), Planning, Police, and Public Works. Kerri Spear and Kevin Jackson have begun initial conversations and will soon involve these other divisions/departments. The outcome of this grant would include a neighborhood plan for the Garden Hills Neighborhood that could be used to seek implementation funding (from HUD, as well as other federal agencies such as the Departments of Education and Justice).
