In order to complete UC2B fiber-optic drilling along University Avenue, Western Utility Contractors, Inc. will intermittently close one westbound lane of University Avenue between First Street and Wright Street. The lane closures will begin on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, and will continue through Thursday, November 3, 2011, as needed. The lane closures will generally occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in the area. Access to all businesses in the area will be maintained. Parking meters will be bagged along the north side of University Avenue as needed. In these areas, parking will be available on the south side of University Avenue and on side streets.
