Foreclosure Filings

Foreclosure filings through December of 2011 are now reported. The chart below outlines the activity over the past few years. 2011 saw an average of 8.83 foreclosure filings per month, slightly higher than 2010. Community Forum on Bullying Prevention

Officer Jonathan Westfield also served as a panelist for the TALK Foundation’s community forum on anti-bullying held at the Champaign Public Library on February 20th. The TALK Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the safety and well-being of children in East Central Illinois and throughout the world.

CPD Attends Job Fairs

Last week, Champaign Police officers Jonathan Westfield, Andre Davis, and Jeffrey Pickett attended two internship and career fairs at Eastern Illinois University and the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS). At the UIS fair, Officer Westfield took the time to visit with Homer Simpson and the Mel-O-Cream team.

Police Sergeant Testing

The Human Resources Department and Police Department administered promotional testing for the rank of Police Sergeant on February 13 and 14.
