On January 19, 2011, Risk Manager Larry Krause gave an ergonomics training presentation to nine members of the Eastern Illinois Safety Network. Members were consultants and safety professionals from the University of Illinois, Silgan White Cap, Paul’s Machine and Welding and APL Applied Materials. The training focused on equipment and behaviors that staff can focus on to help reduce the possibility of a musculoskeletal disorder. Topics covered included proper monitor, chair, desk, and keyboard adjustment, and stretches to help keep muscles and tendons in good health.
