The Human Resources Department coordinated the annual Employee Benefits and Wellness Fair, held on February 9, 2012. Approximately 120 City employees and retirees attended.
At the Fair, Provena Covenant Medical Center, Carle Foundation Hospital, and Christie Clinic were on hand to conduct biometric screenings, including cholesterol and triglyceride screens. Various vendors participated to provide valuable information about health promotion programs, disease management resources, and other efforts to encourage good health.
The Human Resources Department also launched its annual Open Enrollment period for health insurance February 1. Changes to employee, retiree, and dependent elections for health insurance coverage are made during open enrollment.
