A total of 209 service requests from citizens and City staff were recorded during February 2012 in the Public Works’ Dispatch Office. This was a decrease of 50 requests (19%) from the previous month’s count of 259. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.
The Sewer and Asphalt Sections received the greatest number of calls for service with each receiving 36 (17%). The Traffic and Lighting Section tied for third with Miscellaneous Sewer service requests at 34 (16%) each. The most frequent request was for pothole repair (35), followed by assistance with sewer backups (27). Coming in third (15) was dead animal pickup requests.
It is interesting to note the Snow & Ice Service Requests were dramatically lower this year. There were only four this year compared to a total of 144 for February 2011.
