Champaign Police have arrested a suspect, JAMONTE R. HILL, in connection with a shooting that occurred near Clock and Bellefontaine Streets on April 24, 2012.

The shooting occurred on April 24, 2012, at approximately 7:45 p.m., near the intersection of Clock and Bellefontaine Streets. Witnesses reported seeing the passenger of a dark-colored vehicle approach a 23 and 27 year-old male and fire multiple rounds at the two male victims. Both were treated at Carle Hospital for gunshot injuries.
After an extensive investigation, a warrant was issued on April 25, 2012, for the arrest of Jamonte R. Hill.
Yesterday evening, Champaign Police Detectives located Hill in the 400 block of W. Park Street in Urbana. He was arrested and transported to the Champaign County Jail.
