During the Champaign Park District’s annual Touch-A-Truck Day event, officers with the Champaign Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit demonstrated special weapons and tools that may be used during an emergency response. The event, which brings young children together with various trucks and people in the community who drive them, was held at Centennial Park on May 16, 2012.
