Annual Alley Maintenance
Beniach Construction continues to work on the alley in the block bounded by University Avenue, Elm Street, Clark Street and Lynn Street. Weather permitting, they should complete work by August 10.
The reconstruction is being done in multiple phases to accommodate as much access to adjoining properties as possible. The alley will be closed to thru traffic.
The purpose of this project is to replace the deteriorated alley pavement and improve storm water drainage within the alley. This project will consist of removal and replacement of all alley pavement, alley entrance pavement, removal and replacement of adjacent sidewalk as necessary, and removal and replacement of curb and gutter as necessary.
Neighborhood Infrastructure Repair
Weather permitting, Beniach Construction, should complete sidewalk repairs on John Street from First Street to Fourth Street by Monday, July 30. Work has begun on Fourth Street from Green Street to Armory Drive.
This project will repair sidewalk tripping hazards and construct ADA compliant sidewalk ramps where needed.
