The City’s Municipal Electric Aggregation program has moved forward with the enrollment of residents and small commercial businesses. As of today, there are 22,563 active accounts that have enrolled with Integrys Energy and 1,008 participants who have opted out of the program. Although the opt-in deadline has passed customers that would like to enroll can do so by either calling in to the Integrys Energy call center at 888-491-1362 or opt-in online at: www.integrysenergy.com/optintochampaign. Welcome letters to new aggregation members confirming enrollment into the program were mailed on July 26, from Integrys Energy Services. Ameren will also be mailing out letters to confirm participants switch to Integrys Energy Services as their electric supplier. City staff and Integrys Energy Services continue to field inquiries from residents and small businesses about both the opt-in and opt-out processes.
