The Kirby Avenue Bridge over I-57 was opened to traffic on Friday, August 3, 2012. The Illinois Department of Transportation project has completed the replacement of the bridge deck and guardrail. The only remaining work on the project consists of earthwork near the ends of the guardrail, which will be completed in the next few weeks.
