This year’s National Night Out (NNO) Fun Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 12 pm – 5 pm at Boneyard Creek Second Street Reach (corner of 2nd Street and Springfield Avenue) in Champaign. National Night Out is a country-wide celebration that is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for anti-crime programs, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. This year’s event will include live music provided by the Hip Hop Express and the Gavin Stoldt Project, safety demonstrations, community and public safety information tables, child ID kits, children’s activities (bounce houses, face painting, touch-a-truck, balloon artists, etc), free hot dogs and popcorn and much more.
