The City of Champaign is working with CCNET (Champaign County Sustainability Network) to host a walking tour of John Street Watershed with one of the City of Champaign’s engineers- Alex Nagy. The John Street Watershed Drainage Project recently finished up. This is the second of five watershed drainage projects that will help control water and prevent flooding after heavy rains in the City. The project includes permeable pavements, rain gardens and an upgrade in underground drainage pipes. Participants will meet on the east side of the Unit 4 Mellon Administration Building at 703 S. New Street at noon on Thursday, September 27th. All are encouraged to attend!
