Beginning on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, McShane Construction will be closing a southbound lane of State Street between Church Street and Park Street. The lane will remain closed for approximately six weeks as a crane moves along State Street erecting steel and pre-fabricated panels onto the structure. A lane closure is necessary in order to facilitate a large crane and the delivery of materials. Once the steel and panels have been placed, the lane will be reopened (expected at the end of November). During the closure, southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.
The Eden Supportive Living project will renovate the existing building, add three stories to the structure and construct a new 8 story tower. Both lanes of Park Street have been closed just east of State Street, between State and Randolph. The Park Street closure will continue until early April 2013.
McShane Construction would like to thank the City of Champaign and the public for their cooperation and patience for any inconvenience this work may cause.
