September Service Requests

A total of 316 service requests from citizens and City staff were recorded during September 2012 in the Public Works’ Department. This was a decrease of 400 requests (-56%) from the previous month’s count of 716. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.

Calmer weather in September was the reason for the steep decline in service requests.

The Sewer Section received the most service requests with a combined total of 129 (41%) calls, which includes sewer-related calls (58) and miscellaneous requests (71). The Forestry Section was second; calls continued for storm-related damage. The top service request was for pick up of dead animals at 33 (10%) calls; second was sewer backups with 25 (8%) calls; and third was for burnt out street lamps with 21 (7%).
