Bike Implementation Plan Public Meeting

The draft Plan will be presented on Tuesday, October 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Champaign Main Library in the Robeson meeting room. Following the formal presentation an open house will be held for staff to answer questions. The draft Plan will also be available online on the City’s website. This offers residents the opportunity to read the Plan and provide comments via email without attending a public meeting.

The Bicycle Implementation Plan is built on the foundation of prior plans such as the 2008 Transportation Master Plan, the 2011 Trails Plan and the 2011 Comprehensive Plan. It creates a fully interconnected, seamless and safe bicycle facility network that connects areas in the City and in the larger Champaign-Urbana community. Since 2008 the City has built seven miles of bicycle infrastructure. The Plan proposes adding 90 miles to Champaign’s bicycle transportation network.
