Honorary Street Dedication CeremonyThe life of Lum Rose was celebrated by his family, friends, and City staff with an honorary street dedication ceremony on Friday, October 19. Lum was a barber for 55 years, 40 of those years were in Champaign. He was best known for being the co-owner of Rose & Taylor’s Barber Shop. He passed away on September 28 at 80 years young.

The ceremony was held at Washington and Sixth Street, next to Lum’s residence. Honorary Lum Rose Way is on Sixth Street, between Washington Street and Grove Street.
