On Monday, October 29, METCAD received a Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency that seeks to develop and promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees. It does so by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law, and resolving conflicts through mediation. Employees who are currently active in the National Guard and Reserve can nominate their employer for this award. METCAD was nominated by Telecommunicator Ken Sprague who is also a Commander of the 1744th Transportation Company in Robbins, IL. Cindy Neitzel, Committee Member of the ESGR, presented Director Ralph Caldwell with the Award as pictured below:
