October Service Requests

A total of 313 service requests from citizens and City staff were recorded during October 2012 in the Public Works Department. This number remained steady when compared to the 316 requests that were received in September. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.

The most calls in one day were 33 recorded on October 23. Over half of these calls were related to flooding or sewer backups.

Service Requests by Category for October 2012

The Sewer Section received the most service requests with a combined total of 128 (41%) calls, which includes sewer-related calls (79) and miscellaneous requests (49). The Forestry Section was second with 50 (16%) service requests. The greatest number of service requests was for sewer backups at 34 (11%) calls; tied for second with 23 (7%) calls each were dead animal pickup and pothole repair. Following closely in fourth place was flooding problems with 21(6%) calls.
