To facilitate fiber-optic drilling, installation, and splicing for the UC2B project, Western Utility Contractors, Inc. will be intermittently closing the following lane in Champaign:
- University Avenue – one eastbound lane between Neil and Chestnut
The lane closure will occur intermittently (4 to 5 times total) starting this week and ending by early December 2012. The lane closure will generally occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in this area. The lane will NOT be closed on weekends.
