A total of 173 service requests from citizens and City staff were recorded during December 2012 in the Public Works Department. This number decreased by 40 (19%) requests compared to the 213 requests that were received in November. The chart below tracks the number of requests recorded each day by staff.
The mild weather during the month of December contributed to a lower number of requests.
Sewer-related calls were the greatest in number at 38 (22%) requests. Internal calls requiring the attention of the Building Services section was second with 25 (14%) requests. Third was the miscellaneous group of requests that are also responded to by the Sewer Section with 24 (14%).
The greatest number of calls was 33 (19%) for sewer backups. Pothole repair and miscellaneous facilities requests were tied for second with 13 (8%) each.
