We recognize that a winter storm continues to approach, but the Fire and Police Memorial Committee is in celebration mode today!
The Fire and Police Memorial Committee announces today that they have raised $97,500.00 which allows the final phase of the Fire and Police Memorial at West Side Park to be completed!! This labor of love began in 2007 and the dedicated volunteers deserve amazing credit for this achievement during a down economic time. The life-sized bronze fire fighter and police officer statues are expected to be ready for installation towards the end of Spring 2013. A public dedication ceremony will occur soon after!
In the meantime, your orders for brick pavers may be processed in time for the spring ceremony.
The Fire and Police Memorial Committee will place another order for engraved bricks at the end of March. Please find attached an update about the Fire and Police Memorial project in West Side Park as well as information about the bricks. All bricks ordered by March 22nd will be installed this spring, prior to the dedication ceremony. This brick installation will include all bricks that have been ordered since the last shipment which was installed this past summer.
