John Ruffin, Neighborhood Coordinator, met with representatives of the local interfaith working group to discuss the progress of outreach efforts undertaken by the Neighborhood Services Department. Based on the feedback, it was decided to postpone the interfaith planning luncheon scheduled for April 25, 2013. The group will continue to work with Neighborhood Services to continue educating the religious community about the merits of the initiative and develop a presentation as part of the STAR workshops.
