The City of Champaign partnered with the City of Urbana, Champaign County, and the Village of Savoy to host the first electronics drive of 2013 in April. Participants recycled 113,965 pounds of electronics. Televisions were the most common item brought to the drive. This collection event had a larger turnout and response than the three previous drives held during 2012. The next event will be held on October 12, 2013 at the News Gazette Distribution Center.
