In order to complete an exploratory dig for a University of Illinois gas pipeline, University of Illinois Facilities & Services will be closing Curtis Road between Staley Road and Rising Road. The closure will begin on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, and will reopen on Thursday, May 9, 2013, weather permitting. Through traffic will not be allowed in the area; however, access to local properties will be maintained. The public is encouraged to obey all construction signs or plan alternative routes to avoid this work.
