Today at 1:15 PM, officers responded to Douglass Park for a report of multiple shots fired. Witnesses report seeing a male suspect exit a dark-colored SUV, enter the park, and fire multiple shots at three people who were sitting at a picnic table there. The suspect then ran back to the SUV, which had circled the block and returned for pickup. Both the driver and suspect fled the area prior to officers’ arrival.
No injuries or property damage were reported to police. The Department is currently investigating this incident and will provide updated information as it becomes available.
