The community joined the Champaign Fire Department for an open house to recognize Fire Prevention Week at the Champaign Public Library. This year, the theme for Fire Prevention Week was, Get Cooking with Fire Safety, and focused on cooking safety. The Champaign Fire Department partnered with several local agencies including; Arrow Ambulance, Pro Ambulance, Champaign County Emergency Management, Carle Hospital, Emergency Support Service Team, The Salvation Army, The American Red Cross and MTD. Hundreds of community members showed up to learn about fire safety, see the resources available to our community, and have a fun day with family.
