The City of Champaign will honor Reverend Arthur Burks by dedicating a portion of Columbia Avenue, between Fourth Street and Wright Street, as Honorary Rev. Arthur Burks Way. The honorary street sign will be unveiled on Friday, November 8, 2013, at 12 p.m. during a ceremony at the northeast corner of Columbia Avenue and Fourth Street in Champaign.
Reverend Burks was the Pastor of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Champaign, Illinois for over 32 years.
