Ameren Illinois will be working on relocating the gas main on Russell Street between Church Street and Washington Avenue in preparation for the City of Champaign’s Washington Street drainage project later this year. Russell Street will be down to one lane traffic during business hours today through Tuesday, April 1st. The entire street will be closed from 9am until 2pm on Monday, weather permitting. Both lanes of traffic along Russell will be reopened each evening.
