As part of the City’s 2014 Concrete Street Maintenance Project, the pavement on Phillips Drive from Nelson Court to the Railroad Tracks will be rehabilitated. The City’s contractor for the project, Beniach Construction, will begin work; weather permitting, Monday, May 12, 2014.
Phillips Drive will be temporarily a one lane, one way street northbound from Washington Street to Nelson Court. The contractor will provide a flagger as needed to help direct traffic.
This work involves replacing the existing pavement with new concrete pavement, sidewalk repairs and lawn restoration.
Please pay close attention to construction signs, traffic control devices and marked detours. Please do not park on the street near the construction site or in areas that are posted “No Parking.” Please proceed cautiously through construction zones and use alternate routes whenever possible. The contractor will attempt to complete construction activities as soon as possible to minimize any inconvenience to the residents in the areas of construction.
