Over the past several weeks, City staff has worked with Heartland Parking, the Hill Street Parking Deck’s management company to improve the appearance of the facility. The steel handrails in the stairwells were treated for rust spots and painted black by Cronkhite Painting. This paint has not only improved the look of the stairwells, but it will also prevent future rust. Public Works Department and Planning Department staff worked together to improve the look of the alley between the parking deck and nearby businesses. A fence was constructed by SK Service Corp to cover the area where local businesses store their dumpsters. This project was paid for by Food and Beverage – Streetscape Repair Funds.
