Third Suspect in Redding Homicide Arrested – Investigation Continues

A third suspect, Micah J. Hopkins, 30, of Champaign, has been arrested in connection to the murder of Allen M. Redding.

According the Blytheville Police Department, their agency assisted the U.S. Marshal’s Service with the capture of Micah Hopkins. Hopkins was taken into custody yesterday afternoon at 1608 Chickasawba Street in Blytheville, Arkansas. Two other people have been detained by the Blytheville Police Department for questioning.

The Champaign Police are continuing to follow up on investigative leads and are working to obtain additional information about this case.

“Thanks to tips from the public and support from the law enforcement community, the Department is making progress is this case. As we continue our investigation, we hope to build a solid case and provide closure to Redding’s family. However, we still need the public’s help,” says Robert Rea, Investigations Lieutenant.
