Narrative: Champaign Fire Department responded to an automatic alarm at Helia Healthcare, 1915 S. Mattis Ave. on November 6, 2014. Upon arrival, fire crews found the sprinkler system activated and smoke in the laundry area of the facility. Fire crews deployed a hose line to the laundry area and quickly extinguished a fire in a dryer. All residents were able to stay at the facility. No civilian or fire department personnel injuries were reported.
