Police Search for Hit and Run Driver

Champaign Police are currently searching for the driver involved in a hit and run accident On November 7, 2014, at approximately 8:10 AM, a 17 year-old Central High School student was struck by a sports utility vehicle while walking to school in the area of Clark and New Street. It was reported to police that the driver exited the vehicle to check on the student then left the scene before providing any identifying information.

The victim’s parent transported her to an area hospital for treatment of minor leg injuries.

The driver is described as an Asian female, in her 30’s, with blonde hair and dark roots.

The vehicle is described as a bright blue SUV with a missing passenger side mirror.
