The Neighborhood Services Department and Champaign Park District held the first of six block festival events scheduled at neighborhood locations throughout the city. The Human Kinetics event was organized in partnership with the Beardsley Park Neighborhood Association to engage residents of the Beardsley, Garwood, and Shadowwood neighborhoods. The event was well attended and included food, music, entertainment, and community resource information shared by local service providers including Community Elements, Ameren Act on Energy, Habitat for Humanity and the Neighborhood Services Department.
