Varsity Striping, Inc. has started the 2015 Pavement Marking Project. The project will include both the removal of old markings and the installation of new markings on various streets within the City of Champaign. Work is expected to last through the fall and should be completed by November 1.
Each location requires two crews: the first crew will be marking stop bars, crosswalks, and turn arrows; the second crew will be marking lane lines, center lines, and skip dashes. Because of the two-crew process, a location could look half-finished for a few days before it is completed.
