704 N. State St. Update
On August 1, 2013, a notice was issued to the owner of 704 N. State St., informing them that the property was determined to be a Vacant Nuisance Residential Building. The notice informed the owner of the requirement to register the property with a deadline of August 19, 2013. Because the deadline was missed, late fees accumulated and a lien was placed on the property for $8,250. The Neighborhood Code Compliance Division continued with nuisance abatements on the property until July 2015. The owner completed payment of the outstanding liens on the property and later sold the property to a new owner. Since being sold, the new owner has made several exterior improvements to the property including removing and repairing old siding, window replacement, and roof replacement.
