The City of Champaign is currently accepting applications for entry-level and experienced police officers to join the Champaign Police Department. Dedicated to providing service through trust, integrity and respect, we seek diverse, committed individuals to support and proudly serve the residents and visitors of Champaign.

Named by MSN as one of the 30 best-paying cities for police officers in the country, CPD is a full-service destination Department with a variety of opportunities. In addition to being a patrol officer, employees have the opportunity to become a part of our Crime Scene Unit, Canine Unit, Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT), Field Training Unit, Crisis Intervention Team, as well as lead a number of community engagement endeavors.

The Champaign Police Department Officer Recruitment Information Session will be held:
Thursday, January 21, 2016, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Champaign Police Department, 82 E. University Avenue, Champaign.

The application deadline for entry-level officers is January 29, 2016, 4PM CST. Applications for experienced police officers are accepted year-round.
