The City of Champaign received ten applications to fill the upcoming vacancy in the District 4 City Council office. The application deadline was 12:00 p.m. today. In alphabetical order, the applicants are:

The Champaign City Council Members will carefully review the applications and then interview the candidates during a special Study Session meeting on March 29, 2016. It is anticipated that the City Council will appoint the new District 4 Council member at their regular meeting on April 5, 2016.
On March 4, 2016, the City of Champaign began accepting applications from residents interested in serving out the remaining term of the District 4 Council office. That office will be vacant starting March 23, 2016, because Council Member Marci Dodds has resigned and is relocating out of the area.
