The City of Champaign has acquired 48 properties in Bristol Place. Fifteen demolitions are completed and a contractor is working to close out one more demolition with staff continuing to work closely with Bristol residents on relocation assistance. An ‘Invitation to Apply for the Bristol Place Demolition Contractor Pool’ was advertised to new contractors interested in demolishing houses in Bristol Place last week with a deadline of March 21 to submit applications. Demolition contractors must be approved in order to bid on the next round of demolitions in Bristol Place.
