The 2016 Infrastructure Maintenance Project started the first week of May. Schomburg & Schomburg from Danville is the contractor. The project consists of three parts:
- Brick Street Rehabilitation (McKinley Avenue from Washington Street to Church Street);
- Alley Maintenance (the alley bounded by First Street, Locust Street, Green Street, and John Street); and
- Traffic Signal Upgrades (North Prospect Avenue).
Schomburg & Schomburg is currently working on the brick street rehabilitation portion of the project and should finish in mid-June, weather permitting.
