Champaign Police Investigate Shooting – 1100 Block of N. Sixth St

Yesterday, at approximately 5:58 PM, Champaign Police responded to the 1100 block of N. Sixth St. for a shots fired report.  Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male from Rantoul, who sustained a serious gunshot wound and was transferred to an area hospital. It is unclear at this time if the gunshot wound was self-inflicted or if a suspect was involved.
