In order to facilitate installation of a sanitary sewer interceptor and pump station for Urbana and Champaign Sanitary District, Stark Excavating will be closing eastbound Springfield Avenue traffic between First Street and Third Street. The lane closures will begin on Monday, July 25 and will reopen on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Eastbound traffic will be detoured north at First Street to University Avenue, east to Fourth Street, and south to Springfield Avenue. During the closure, eastbound traffic will be closed between First Street and Third Street; however, westbound traffic will continue through the work area.
