Vehicles Towed
On August 9, the Neighborhood Code Compliance Division towed a total of five vehicles from a property in Champaign. Property Maintenance Inspector Kim Burnett had previously notified the property owner about the inoperable & unregistered vehicles parked on the private property. With the assistance of the City Legal Department, an administrative search warrant was obtained for the removal of the vehicles. Inspector Burnett coordinated the vehicle removal process with the Champaign Police Department utilizing their rotational list for towing contractors. Sergeant Frost & Officer Standifer assisted Inspector Burnett with execution of the warrant. A total of four towing companies were involved with the end result of all inoperative and unregistered vehicles removed.
