Crossroads Neighborhood
The Crossroads Neighborhood Group hosted a Family Fun Festival on Saturday. Youth and families of the neighborhood came together to celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year. The event included food, family friendly games, inflatables, Illinois Science Museum mobile exhibit, music, face painting, and a backpack/ school supply giveaway. Neighbors also had the opportunity to get to know each other and discuss organizing goals to engage the neighbors and improve the neighborhood. Funding for the event was provided by Neighborhood Services Department Coordination Division, Neighborhood Small Grant Program to support the neighborhood connection efforts of the group.
