Property Maintenance Inspector Susan Jones worked with the Public Works and Planning & Development Departments, Illinois-American Water, and American Tower to find a solution to the overgrown grass and weeds surrounding two addresses adjacent to the Boulder Ridge Subdivision.
City maps indicated the property as part of the Bradley Avenue right-of-way, but there is an access road through the property to the parcels that Illinois-American Water and American Tower own. Jones sited each parcel of land and mailed letters to the legal owners in mid-August. American Tower’s attorney contacted Jones on September 2 and stated they would have this taken care of immediately. Less than a week later, Susan received a call from Illinois-American Water’s maintenance division. Illinois-American Water agreed to mow the area for the rest of the year and will contact American Tower to work out maintenance for next year.
