    • Airplane

      Willard Airport

      Willard Airport is a convenient regional airport operated by the University of Illinois.  Willard Airport accommodates both private and commercial aircraft.       Flightstar

    • Bicycle

      Champaign boasts an extensive set of bike routes and bike trails to help cyclists get around town.  The City maintains a number of bike routes both on City streets and separated from the roadway. Champaign’s bike routes tie into University of Illinois, Urbana, and Savoy bike routes, as well as Champaign Park District trails.

      Champaign County Bikes is a local nonprofit organization that maintains a great bike route map for the area, and also promotes safe cycling.  Visit Champaign County Bikes’ website.

      Buses operated by the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) are equipped with bike racks that can accommodate up to two bicycles. Bikes ride FREE when accompanied by a fare-paying passenger, though motorized and electric bikes are prohibited. Visit the MTD bicycling page for more information. There is ample bicycle parking on the west side of the Illinois Terminal, right next to the bicycle repair station. These amenities give cyclists more mobility options.

      Some Amtrak trains can also accommodate carry-on bicycles.

      Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD)

      The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District provides award-winning bus service throughout Champaign, the University of Illinois campus, Urbana, and parts of Savoy. The Illinois Terminal multi-modal facility is strategically located in downtown Champaign, and is served by local buses, rural transit providers, intercity bus providers, passenger rail, and ride shares..

      Burlington Trailways

      Burlington Trailways provides inter-city bus service from Wyoming to Indiana.  Trailways picks up/drops off passengers at the Illinois Terminal in downtown Champaign. For more information, please visit Trailways’ website or call 800-992-4618.

      Greyhound

      Greyhound provides inter-city bus service to the Chicago and St. Louis areas, in addition to a variety of other locations. Greyhound picks up/drops off passengers at the Illinois Terminal in downtown Champaign. Tickets are not sold at this location.       Peoria Charter

    • Car

      Interstate InterchangeChampaign conveniently lies at the intersection of three major Interstates. I-72 and I-74 provide convenient east-west access, while I-57 provides easy north-south access. The City is also served by State Routes 10, 45, and 150.

    • Illinois Terminal

      A centralized multi-modal transportation hub conveniently located in downtown Champaign, Illinois Terminal provides travelers easy access to local and long-distance bus services, Amtrak, taxis, and more. Illinois Terminal is owned by the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD), and offers spacious waiting areas, a restaurant, a banquet and meeting center, and other amenities.       Illinois Terminal is located at 45 E. University Avenue in Champaign, immediately west of the railroad tracks.

    • Taxis & Limousines

      Champaign is served by several north and southbound passenger trains each day.  Passengers embark/disembark from the second floor of the Illinois Terminal (45 E.
