Kirby Avenue Lane Closure (between First Street and Fourth Street)

In order to remove a damaged streetlight, the University of Illinois will close one westbound lane of Kirby Avenue between First Street and Fourth Street. The closure will occur on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. During the closure, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.

Prospect Avenue Lane Closure (between Healey Street and Green Street)

In order to complete water main maintenance, Illinois American Water and Shaw Brothers will close one northbound lane of Prospect Avenue between Healey Street and Green Street. The closure will begin on Monday, November 20, and will reopen on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in the area.


Green Street Lane Closure (between State Street and Randolph Street)

In order to complete pavement patching, Illinois American Water and Shaw Brothers will close one westbound lane of Green Street between State Street and Randolph Street.  The closure will begin on Wednesday, November 15, and will reopen by Monday, November 20, 2023. Both eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained during the work.


Prospect Avenue and Green Street Lane Closures
